The pictures

The pictures from each day leading to the wedding and after are being compiled and sent out slowly. We will hand pick the ones that are a must-see and post them. Keep checking for more updates.

Overture…

HR and RR

Love marriages around the world are simple:

Boy loves girl. Girl loves boy.
They get married.

In India, there are a few more steps:

Boy loves Girl. Girl loves Boy.
Girl’s family has to love boy. Boy’s family has to love girl.
Girl’s Family has to love Boy’s Family. Boy’s family has to love girl’s family.
If girl and boy still love each other, they get married.

Our story is no different.

Four years, a bunch of telephone bills and an expensive education later, we still love each other (and are also very broke). We seem to have somehow found something bearable in each other to be willing to put ourselves, our families and friends through the ordeal of an Indian wedding (which by all means might just turn out to be very enjoyable  =) ).

In Hyderabad, on the 20th of October, 2010 @ 9:22 AM, the groom, the very geeky Renganathan, who will be quick to point out that the date of the wedding is interesting in itself – 10/20/2010 and the bride, the almost as geeky, Harini, will finally tie the knot (and put an end to all this geekiness).

Like every Indian wedding, the fun starts well before the actual ceremony and we have a bunch of stuff planned starting from the 17th to the 23rd of October in Hyderabad & Trivandrum. We have tried our best to cram all the details of the different ceremonies in the few pages of this website and hope that it will entice you to make that trip to each of our home towns =).

Edit – We got married and nothing has really changed. Still the same old :D
